Nephew Visit / Models and Caribbean - One Last Storm?

Ahhhh made it to the weekend. Stayed in bed until mid morning after a good ten hour sleep. Feel good and it’s nice out. I don’t have any real plans for today, but I do know I will not be in front of this computer for the rest of the day after I post this update. Woohoo!

Yesterday I got to see my Nephew Alan and man is he growing fast. Four months old and wearing nine month old baby clothes. Looks so much like my brother and dad. He was playing and laughing with me as he was watching his reflection in my sun glasses. Very cute little dude! Alan will be the main attention grabber for the holidays this year. First Thanksgiving and Christmas are always big. Wait until he see’s all the christmas lights.

Tropical News: Several of the forecast computer models have been developing a tropical like system in the northwestern Caribbean Sea the last few days. It’s not out of the question to have something form down there this time of year with old cold fronts stalling out south of Cuba and such. Will have to wait and see if the models continue to show this development and if more come online with such a setup. It is still hurricane season and the waters in the Caribbean and southeast Gulf of Mexico are still sufficient to maintain a storm.

A storm developing in that location can become a problem for Cuba, Florida and the Bahamas as cold fronts pull systems north and northeast out of the Caribbean ahead of the boundary. These storms sometimes sneak up on you real fast. I will be monitoring over the weekend.

I just wanted to thank all that have updated their links and blogs pages with the new url to this blog site. My traffic for this blog page is nearing it’s normal level of daily traffic once again. I need to look into how I should import of archive posts for the last two years into this new layout and blogging software.
