First light this morning gave view of frost on our cars and roof tops here in Okeechobee as the winds here in South Florida went nearly calm overnight allowing the temperatures to fall into the mid 30s. (see post below) Above you can see me playing with the frost on the back of my car at sunrise. This is very early for us to see frost here, and it’s only the day before Thanksgiving. Our frost and freeze spells happen during late december through early Feb… not November!
I did’nt think the winds would go calm overnight and now Im a bit worried about our tropical plants that we now should of covered and also I should ran the sprinklers overnight to keep the frost off the nice green lawn. hmm At least the temps never went below the freezing level. This should be our last real cold night for this cold spell. See below the some of the temperatures and records set.
