Moisture On The Rise / Isolated Storm Expected

Driving home on Wednesday, you could clearly see that the moisture levels in the atmosphere were on the rise with the nice development of the above CU field and isolated showers.
A old frontal boundary was sagging into the northern part of the state this evening and extends out into the Gulf of Mexico, where a weak area of low pressure is forecast to develop overnight and into Friday. Expecting isolated storms by late Thursday and into much of Friday. Instability looks to be low due to the heavy cloud cover expected, but still plan on seeing a few storms embedded in all the light to moderate rains. We defiantly need the rain as were well below normal in the rain department.
If the low becomes stronger than forecasted and we can get some sun to break through, there is a isolated chance of seeing a possible storm worth chasing, or just going out to enjoy the thunder. I’ll continue to monitor the system during the day and into Friday.
More to come,
