Comet McNaught Mission Dead Again From Clouds

Strike Three!
Wednesday evenings third attempt to view and capture on film and video, of comet McNaught in the western sky failed once again due to heavy upper-level cirrus cloud cover. The so far active subtropical jet stream this winter continued on Wednesday streaming in high cirrus clouds that made it very hard to see any signs of the comet.
I panned the horizon back and forth for twenties minutes just after sunset without any luck in the cloud train department. Lots of upper-level moisture screaming in from the Pacific and across Florida the last 3 days. I was hoping yesterday morning I might get another shot at McNaught, but the cloud cover was too heavy and looking east over the Atlantic here in South Florida, only gave view to a nice marine layer stratocu deck moving inland.
Believe from what I read that the comet should remain bright in the sky over the next few days. So maybe we can get some of these high clouds out of here at sunset so I can sneak a fast peak at this comet playing around the sun.
Above are some digital photography shots of last nights cloud filled sky at sunset over South Florida. I tell you this… I’m getting itchy again for some storm action. This last chill down did not help me with wanting to keep this December / January warm trend continuing with the 80F temperatures and the nice southeasterly breezes off the ocean.
Heading towards the end of the week already and thinking of plans for the weekend. At this time NONE! With all the holidays running around, I think I’m hanging around the house and watching some football and chaser videos. Sounds like a good combo on a January weekend without any good weather to get wrapped up in. If I have any luck tonight on McNaught, I’ll post a special evening update with photos, otherwise look for me again on Friday.
Signing off from tropical South Florida,
