Surgery Went Well, Storms On The Way

The Surgery went great today and I’m recovering just fine. My foot is all wrapped up and I’m told I have only 3-4 stitches and a open packed wound that will take 3 weeks to fully heal. I’ll be using crutches on my longer walks and a surgical boot so I can Drive. They have started me on some antibiotics that I will take the next few days while I recover. I will be here likely until Friday unfortunately since they need to give me some IV antibiotics and get my blood thinners back to it’s normal level before they discharge me. Tomorrow I’ll work with physical therapy with the boot and crutches as it’s required to be discharged from the hospital. So, I’ll be busy some tomorrow with x-rays and working with my new hardware.

This whole week is shot for me and now I’m also going to miss out on some possible severe storms in central Florida on Thursday and Friday. Always seems to work out that way in the winter when your really wanting to chase something convective-wise. So, I will be arm or bed chasing from the hospital tomorrow and hope for some of the other Florida chasers to get out and bagged them a storm or two. I’ll be posting as the weather develops and will be monitoring the setup tomorrow and on Friday. Would be nice to slip out of here early.
