I know this is off topic from the normal weather and storm chasing posts here on StormVideographer, but I just wanted to share a review of a site that might help your own storm blog on this weekend edition post.

Outside of my daily morning check of the latest weather computer models and outlooks, there is another website that’s first on my top 5 list each day to read. John Chow Dot Com - The Miscellaneous Ramblings of a Dot Com Mogul, has become such a daily reading for me and has really helped me to understand how to market and improve my blog. John Chow Dot Com is a blog that covers everything from, marketing your blog, blogging tips, like how to increase your traffic, PageRank and increase your blogs advertising revenue. There are excellent topics each day and always some type of tip, or new website for bloggers to review or join to improve getting your blog out into the world and increase readership. John test drives a lot of blog community groups, and advertising programs to give you a feel how each of them work, and which ones are a waste of time.

John shares each month, his total advertising revenue profit, and breaks down what advertising network is making more and why. (Making Money From A Blog February 2007) His blog is a excellent way to get you moving in the right direction when trying to improve your own blog.

John’s blog community is very unique, with a large variety of visitors and blog publishers that visit his blog. John is very close to his community of readers, as he is very active in his comments sections, and from time to time, running contests with cool high tech giveaways and free linkbacks to your own blog. Even this review of his blog is from a little link love offer he has going on John Chow Dot Com. I come away everyday learning something new, and ways to improve my own blog. Since I re-designed this blog back in October 2006, my traffic has increased and my PageRank went from 1 to 5 in a few months. My revenue from this blog has also increased, helping to pay for the large amount of bandwidth that my videos and photos I publish use up, and for my future chase expeditions. I have to thank Johns Chow Dot Com for a lot of my success with my blog over the last few months, because all of his positive tips and guidance sharing, I have a better blog today. Oh and might I add, John loves to also post reviews on food!
