In a rush today, as I need to be down south in the next few hours, so I posting a short update with some video until I return late this afternoon… I’m also monitoring the possible isolated strong storms possible here today.
As per some email requests, I had some people wanting to see some Hurricane Lili archived video from our chase intercept back in 2002 in Louisiana. Back on October 3, 2002. Were drove from Florida to Southern Louisiana where we did intercept Hurricane Lili as she made landfall. She was weakening at the time, but still had some kick left in here as she came ashore. There was a group of about 6 of us, that caravanned into the eye that days, and several of us would get out and sample the winds, as she slowly moved inland. Included in this post is a 2 minute Hurricane Lili Chase Video Highlight.

Hey Jeff, just got MD 290 in my inbox, and it looks like you might actually have something to play with… Congrats. They still haven’t officially upgraded you, but it looks to be coming down the pipe. Stay safe.

I did shoot some video of the microburst winds in Palm Beach County yesterday. Impressive little storm.
Finally got time to stop and watch the video. Gets the pulse racing! Hope to catch one this year.Plotting an intercept from the Big Bend over to FT Walton this year. But as always it depends on timing. Having to work for a living “has a strong vacumn to it”.
