A more family topic post for some of your readers out there. Today was JJ’s first baseball game of 2007. He was pretty pumped for the game and we were looking forward to seeing him and his team play. After the last several weeks of practice, the team was all jazzed up in their new uniforms and ready to play ball. There are only five innings in Rookie Baseball, and a manual pitching machine is used and this was new to JJ this season, but he did well for his first game of the season. We did not walk away with a victory as the score was 4 to 6, but the team played their hearts out. Practice makes perfect as they say and we are looking forward to the games ahead. The next game is Monday afternoon.

I can tell I’m a tad more into his games this year as the rules are more like normal baseball and not Tee-Ball. They can steal bases and they can strike out. Myself along with several other parents, were all pumped up, screaming “RUN” and ohhhh ahhhh. Kersten and I enjoyed the game and it looks like JJ did as well. His team gathered after the game at the ball feild and had hotdogs and soda’s. So it looks like a weekend of practice ahead, as we need to work on some throwing and swinging for this mondays upcoming game.

Baseball season is here for the little guys and the pro’s as well, along with severe storm season… ha I had to throw that in here somewhere. :)
