Hang'in the sun on EasterEaster Sunday always lets me know we are truly heading into my favorite time of year, the spring storm season. Once Easter rolls around, the spring storm season is about to fully get underway. I know that once in mid April I’m now only weeks away from my annual Tornado Alley chasing expedition. My winter blues are fading fast and I’m loving the longer days of sun, warmer temperatures and the return to the tropical easterlies, although not this weekend here in South Florida. Soon and hopefully, Florida will enter the normal daily thunderstorm rainy season, where the afternoon is greeted with a lightning storm to cool things off, and add some fun for the day. Spring is here! And summer is on the horizon!

I’m spending my Easter Sunday relaxing. Spending time out shooting anything that catches my eye today. Kersten is tied up at work unfortunately until 3pm, but we’ll have a nice dinner later. It’s warming up nicely now after another chilly start this morning in the upper 50s. It would have been nice to do some surfing this weekend, but this late season cold front has made it way to chilly for me to be out hanging in the water. The water temperatures are still rising slowly, and are in the mid 70s at this time. I’m more of a 80-85F water temp kind of guy.

So, I know many of you are dealing with much cooler weather than myself, and some even snow, so enjoy your Easter Sunday, and the full start to your spring weather season where ever you might be in the northern hemisphere.
