A very dangerous situation is setting up over parts of northern Texas and southern Okalahoma right now. The moderate risk is being upgraded to a high risk, and the SPC just issued a PDS tornado watch for the area. There currently is a very impressive possible tornadic Supercells moving just south of the town of Seymour, Texas, where they are likely receiving baseball hail at this time. The storm will soon be threatening Witchta Falls, Texas along the Red River Valley in the next hour.
Still trying to get any word from Storm Chasers on that storm. It looks to be a long night along the Red River Valley of Texas and Oklahoma. A severe weather and tornado outbreak just about to get underway on this Friday the 13th, 2007.
Stay tuned for further updates…

Very interesting to see on radar. I’m going to be leaving work soon, and heading home to arm chair chase.
I just hope our friend, whom we can’t disclose for previously discussed reasons, can chase this one with full disclosure. It really must be hard to catch such excellent storms and not say word one about it.
From what I heard he did well today.
I hope he stops by for a comment later.
I’ve got chills… It is so amazing to see the real life depiction of what I have watched on radar, so amazing!
I hate hearing about Metro Dallas/Fort Worth… I have heard one reported death at this point in Fort Worth. Never good to hear about these storms hitting populated areas.
Great report, Jeff!
Glad to see that large wedge that was on the ground for awhile was over open land.
As we get into the overnight hours, hope the tornado threat relaxes some. Another big day tomorrow further east.
Looks to be settling down now… hopefully, it stays settled. It was very good that the wedge was over open land. Great video that Tony got!
