Kansas was the main show for Tornadic Supercells yesterday, with 8 tornado reports as of this morning. The heart of the spring Plains storm chasing season is in full swing and today looks to be another active day. The Storm Prediction Center has a moderate risk outlined for today for the central Plains, and more tornadoes and large hail is expected. It actually could be a pretty impressive chase day today as there is more moisture to work with and some stronger wind shear. Everyone on their chase-vacations, either with a storm chasing tour, or solo, will have a busy day ahead of them.

Drought’in it up

I have drought video requests this morning, so I be out much of the day shooting video. I’ll try and keep tabs on the Plains situation later this afternoon when I have more time. Really do wish I was on my chase-vacation today, but I’m playing that whole deal a bit different this season. The best to everyone chasing today, I have several good buddies out there today.

I plan to update on both today’s severe weather reports and a follow up to The Florida drought of 2007 situation with some updated video and photos of some of the same location I visited 5 weeks ago. You should see what it looks like now. Also tomorrow, were counting down to the start of the Atlantic 2007 Hurricane season. Can you believe 9 days and counting, and is the Caribbean hinting at development already? More to come.
