Area’s of Southern Florida had a nice rainfall pickup on Sunday with a left over surface boundary in the area and local sea breeze storms. There were several widespread area’s of 2-3 inches of decent rain totals, which is very welcome. My place saw none of this rain over the weekend, as there seems to be a bubble over a 15 miles area around me. There has been storms almost everyday for the last week, and my place has only picked up 0.53 inches. Come on now!

No wonder we have brushfires breaking out still around here as it’s still very dry. I get all my lawn work done on Saturday and then figure, sure it’s going to rain later today, but the rain get close and then dissipate within miles of here. I can’t water because of the phase 3 water restrictions, and with the 92-94F temperatures all day, everything is taking a beating from the heat and sun.

Really, I had a lazy do nothing weekend, which was nice. The only thing that I did on short notice was film the brushfire that broke out about a mile from here seen on Saturdays post, and that was about it. The weather world of news is slow at the moment and just awaiting the tropics to get going. Everything in that department is nil of activity at the moment and nothing of interest is being forecast on the computer models. June is typically a slow hurricane month with only a few depression and maybe a storm. As we move into July soon, thing will likely become more active in the tropical Atlantic.

For now… it’s back to the Monday grind, and my day is loaded with driving and several stops. Have a good Monday.
