Florida Lightning Season, Drying Out This Weekend

Were going to dry out some over the weekend as the upper-level low east of Florida pulls away, and as some wrap-around dry air filters into the area. Looking for a few isolated storms then dry into the weekend. The summer rains have been nice though, helping with the drought and with my SDS. The picture above is of a lightning storm moving southeast over north-central Lake Okeechobee drought stricken waters.
The tropical disturb area of weather in the Southwest Caribbean Sea has weakened overnight, but still continuing to monitor the area. I still have more content to post today, of some time lapse thunderstorms from yesterday and more lightning, but I’m short on time and will back after the noon hour, so look for another update later this afternoon.
