Well, we’ve made it to the last day of June, and I for one am happy to see July coming into view. The tropics should become a tad more active as we move into early July, my summer time thunderstorm season here in Florida is in full gear, and waterspout season becomes pretty active around this time. The atmosphere becomes so saturated with moisture this time of year, that I have to cut the lawn 2 times a week now or it will get out of hand real fast. It’s so soupy outside, you can almost swim in it. It’s great!

If you’re a weather/ storm nut like me, there is so much weather-wise to do during the mid summer in and around Florida. I love to not only film daily weather and lightning storms, but also just enjoy them. Last night I sat out back just watching a fading lightning storms over the lake. I had no cameras, and no radar, just mother natures fireworks at work on a dark summer night in tropical South Florida.

Whats That? More Bird-fart storms today? Awesome!

Today, there is that slow moving surface weak broad low pressure area just west of here between Tampa and Lake Okeechobee. That low with help enhance some convergence this afternoon, and along with some good daytime heating to place today, and some lake and east coast sea breezy boundaries, it looks to be another interesting day thunderstorm wise. I have left my mid to late afternoon hours open later today for storms, so you’ll know where I’ll when the radar lights up.

Have a great weekend!
