Florida Lightning Storms Keeping Me Busy

First off, I’ve had some internet down time from my ISP, and this kept me from updating this morning. Things got back to normal by midday, but I was already out on the road shooting video for The Weather Channel. Had another round of strong to severe isolated thunderstorms today and yesterday along the east coast sea breeze and lake boundaries. This all made for some great storm structure and vivid lightning stock video, and a few video sales. Some of my lightning and people shots are airing on The Weather Channel this evening and likely in the morning. Had another local outlet pick up some flooding too.
I put together a small storm video clip of some of the highlights over the last two days of my Florida summer time chasing. The sea breeze boundary works like magic, almost at the same time daily, in helping to fire off some nice thunderstorms. One of this evening storms had some nice rotation and small hail, as it was likely enhanced by a upper level low moving into the area and some cooler temperatures aloft.
Video Highlight Clip:
- You can view the Florida thunderstorm video highlights from this week here. A little taste of the sights and sounds of the sea breeze boundary at work, and a few native creatures as well…
