New Incoming Dean Video -ExtremeStorms.com
Storm Chaser Jim Edds spent much of the afternoon touring locations along the southern coast of Jamaica in and around Kingston. In the following Hurricane Dean video, you’ll see some impressive storm surge damage along the coast from large surge waters and waves. Roads were washed out, buildings severely damage and flash flooding rushing over local roads from the mountains cause a moderate amount of damage. Of course this could have been so much worst of Dean’s eye moved just a few miles closer the coast. The aftermath scenes are still impressive from a island that was just brushed with a strong category 4 hurricane.
Jim said there was a lot of flash flooding still ongoing today when he was out filming with local officials. Many roads and some homes washed out from the rushing tropical rains coming down from the surrounding mountains. A lot of this flooding and surge damage is keeping Jim from flying out from Kingston, so he will likely make the drive back to Montego Bay to fly out back to Florida from there.
