Felix Organized Fast Today - Now A Hurricane

Tropical Storm Felix is now Hurricane Felix after a impressive day of organizing over the southeastern Caribbean Sea. The hurricane forecast winds are over a small area of about 15-20 miles near the center of circulation. These stronger winds will likely expand over time as the hurricane moves into the central and western Caribbean.
Hurricane Felix is forecast to continue it’s strengthening trend and become a major hurricane within the next 48 hours or so. The latest recon found a pressure reading of 993mb and winds of 75mph making Felix a category 1 hurricane. Felix will be brushing the locations of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire overnight. Nothing has change in the forecast track this evening and new model runs will be coming out overnight and in the early morning.
Hurricane Felix Full Coverage Coming
Look for another update in the morning and then the beginning of full coverage of Hurricane Felix tomorrow evening as he heads for the western Caribbean as a major hurricane.

the outflow looks good tonight and I bet an eyewall will be forming soon!
It is 4.30 now in Curacao. I woke up half an hour ago by lots of rainfall from a norderly direction. It is a constant wind, not very strong, but the rain falls heavily.
Thanks Hans for the update! 100mph hurricane just brushing you to the north. I’m sure it made for a interesting overnight there in the southern Caribbean.
Thanks again for the update.
