Felix Organized Fast Today - Now A Hurricane

Tropical Storm Felix is now Hurricane Felix after a impressive day of organizing over the southeastern Caribbean Sea. The hurricane forecast winds are over a small area of about 15-20 miles near the center of circulation. These stronger winds will likely expand over time as the hurricane moves into the central and western Caribbean.

Hurricane Felix is forecast to continue it’s strengthening trend and become a major hurricane within the next 48 hours or so. The latest recon found a pressure reading of 993mb and winds of 75mph making Felix a category 1 hurricane. Felix will be brushing the locations of Curacao, Aruba and Bonaire overnight. Nothing has change in the forecast track this evening and new model runs will be coming out overnight and in the early morning.
