Thanksgiving Holiday Weather Week Ahead

Well here were are moving into Thanksgiving week. The Holidays have begun for sure now, and I have one action packed week ahead with the Holiday. Lot’s of driving and food days ahead and spending time with family from all over. This Wednesday through Saturday look to be the busiest for me and my updates might be delayed each morning, but I’ll get something out.

The weather has significantly warmed up since this past weekends cold weather snap. Actually, last night was the first overnight we used our AC since Halloween. The weasther has been very cool lately, but looks to be on a warming trends right into the Thanksgiving Holiday. It’ wouldn’t hurt if we could get some rain on Thanksgiving as it’s very dry and rainfall has been pretty much nil for weeks. As I type here at 5:45am in the morning, I keep getting distracted by a tornado documentary on the HD Science Channel, and I keep losing my train of thought. LOL Tornado chasing season is a long ways off.

The Big Wednesday Eve Thanksgiving Travel Day

If your traveling this week, Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day look the wettest over the eastern half of the nation. A cold front will be moving into the eastern seaboard, bringing rain from the Midwest southward into the Mississippi Valley on Wednesday and snow showers into some of the Plains. Thanksgiving Day all this weather shift east and from the Southeast northward into New England, rain and some snow further up north look like the main features. Here in Florida it should remain dry and warm.

So, there won’t be any huge Thanksgiving storm systems this year, and even the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade looks to be some what mild in the upper 50s compared to season in the pass.
