Quick post as I’m on the way out the door right now. Pretty cold this morning here after weeks of spring like warm weather. Lower 40’s this morning with a cold northwest wind. After a full weekend of heavy rains, lightning, and some strong gusty winds, late Fall has returned to Florida. Big change temperature wise for much of the Southeast after a very warm start to December.
The strong cold front that has brought all this cooler weather into place, also brought severe storms over the weekend to north-central Florida, and Southern Georgia, with a isolated tornado reports in the EF-0 range, and straight-line wind damage reports north of Tampa and Orlando. A pretty potent December storm for sure.
More to come with pictures from the weekend later this afternoon when I’m not so busy with driving.
