Florida Time Lapse and Glades Scenes Filming Day
Spent the day Tuesday backpacking around with a tripod, video camera and some snacks, shooting video and time lapses of wildlife, and Florida glades scenes. My main objective for the day was to shoot palm tree scenes for a client for their Florida travel promo video, but I became all wrapped up after shooting the palm trees in getting out of the car and hitting some back trails. It was a outstanding day weather-wise with the cool front well south of the area, making it very pleasant to be outside and walking. On Monday we had record high temperatures here with Vero Beach. FL coming in at 88F, and we broke 90F here in Okeechobee for an hour. Tuesday it was a fresh cooler day with much lower dew points and temperatures in the lower 70’s.
A Break From Filming Florida Weather
It was nice to get out and explore some back dirt trails around marsh lands and area lakes. I would stop for a while to relax in the shade and frame up a time lapse shot and let it roll for 30 minutes or so, and then continue on my way. I made a small video highlight clip of some of the scenes from yesterday. I was going to make two clips for this post since I have over 50+ different shots, but I also need to work on editing up some of the stock palm tree stuff, so keeping it to about 2 minutes.

Just Get Out And Explore And have Fun
I had a lot of fun just exploring and being remote from the busy roads and people of South Florida, and just being outside under the warm sun and nice northerly breezes. A very relaxing day shooting video, but now I’m ready for thunderstorms to film because there are only so many nice days I can deal with. Ha!
