Deep South, Florida Storms To Continue Today & Tuesday
Didn’t see much rain at all over the weekend as I first though I might. Dewdrop must have been traveling through central Florida over the weekend, activating the “Dew-Void”, because the squall line fell apart once south of Orlando. I was able to get out and finally get my lawn work out of the way, plus I planted a few more coconut palm tree’s. The temperatures over the weekend were outstanding, with lower to mid 80’s making it feel like mid spring. It was a great beach weekend!
Looking at the convective thunderstorm outlooks this morning, it looks like the Southeast and Florida thunderstorms chances will once again be on the increase the next 24-48 hours. The southern Jet Stream will have some energy moving through it once again the next few days, and there is some severe weather chances, including a few tornadoes possible. This is still good news with rain falling over recent drought stricken area’s of the south, but many of these locations are now saturated, so could see some slight flooding at times.
I’ll be monitoring the severe weather over the South and Florida the next 2 days, and will update more if things become active. For now, it’s Monday and I’m off on my daily schedule on the road….Have a great week!
