South Florida Rains Chances Increasing Today
Expecting a few days with shots of rain possible starting today. A series of short-waves will be tracking through the southern states Tuesday-Thursday. A slow, weak warm front boundary will be lifting northward through Florida today, and this will help increase some convergence, but moisture is still very shallow from the last flush cold front. It is nice to be in this progressive pattern keeping isolated rain chances in the forecast a few times a week, and not like last early spring with months of the no rain. I have to say everything is nice and green for this time of year. I’ll be out shooting any rain video this afternoon that might move into the South Florida region.
Space Shuttle Endeavour Launch Overnight
The Space Shuttle Endeavour Launch was a success even with some high and low clouds in the area, but I had to pass this time around. I was unable to attend the early morning launch (2:30am) this morning at Kennedy Space Center, because Kersten is out of town for her sister who just had her first little girl yesterday up in Jacksonville, FL and I’m home with J.J. who needed to be up at 6:00am to get ready for school. So ,needless to say, I couldn’t bring a 7 year out in the middle of the night on a school night. Bummer! I did peek out the window and saw the bright fireball of the Shuttle 90 miles away to my north blasting off into orbit. There are many Space Shuttle Missions ahead, so there’s always next time.

Catching Up On Some Projects This Week
Beside the moderate chances of rain showers possible today due to overrunning, it’s a pretty slow day weather-wise. Actually the last few days have been this way. With Kersten out of town until Saturday, I think I’m going to work on getting some of my servers backed up, and get caught up on other web projects. I also have a load of emails from readers with questions I still need to get to from the weekend, so the replies are coming folks. Have a great day!
