Time Change, Sun Angle And My Mood
I’m a big fan of longer days and shorter nights. Every spring when the time changes, my mood changes as I know the hot days of summer are on the way. When the time changed last weekend, I was happy and felt relived that I had made it through the Florida winter months without going nuts. I like the sun high in the sky, the sun setting after 8:00pm and hot humid temperatures. I love when chasing in the central and northern Plains in May, that the sun doesn’t set until well after 9:00pm.
Each day the sun angle gets a little higher and a little higher and I keep track of the sun at midday with a mark on my patio. By June, my entire patio deck is in full sun by noon and not in the shadow of the roof line. In the summer, the sun here in South Florida is just about directly overhead at noon since the Tropic of Cancer is just south of us running through the Florida Straits. This begins my favorite time of year not only because of severe storms and hurricanes, but just because the longer, hotter, and brighter days.
Time To Suck Up Some Of This Outstanding Weather
It’s absolutely gorgeous outside today, with a bright blue sky under a full warm sun. Temperatures are on the increase and expected to near the upper 80’s by Saturday. It’s defiantly a get outside and go exploring day for sure, and I think I might just do that. With all the rain lately, everything is blooming, and the grass is green. I think I’ll get out with my camera and just kill a few hours and end up where I end up and capture what I find along the way.

My favorite kind of exploration day… enjoy it for me too, will ya?
