Update 12:03am More Downtown Atlanta Tornado Damage Video
CNN TV is doing some great coverage of the possible tornado tonight in downtown Atlanta. CNN Center and surrounding hotels have sustained more damage than first thought. Windows blown out, debris all over downtown streets. CNN reports of water and debris inside parts of their studios, and a few windows blown out. Looking at their outside camera angles, the damage looks more widespread then what I viewed about and hour ago. This looks like it could have been a tornado and looking at archived radar, the storm looked tornadic. More in the morning.
Possible Tornado Moves Through Metro Atlanta Tonight
I’m sitting here working on video, and I have CNN on in the background, and I hear them break in with possible tornado damage at their studio’s. Looking at the radar it looks like a isolated severe storm moved through downtown Atlanta Georgia that could of possibly had a tornado associated with it. From the little damage video I have seen, it looks like whatever it might have been, it was minimal and could have been straight-line winds. I’m sure better video and pictures will show better detail at first light tomorrow morning. I’ll keep and eye out of for more damage reports and radar trends.
