The Progressive Weather Pattern Continues - More Storms On Tap
The active severe weather pattern continues along the southern region of the United States this morning and into this afternoon. Southeastern Texas and much of Louisiana are expecting a day of possible severe weather, with tornadoes, damaging straight-line winds and large hail, as another potent disturbance tracks out of the Southwest. The Storm Prediction Center has today’s area of risk out looked in a moderate for possible tornadoes. The Houston region eastward along the I-10 corridor into Baton Rouge and the Gulf coast look to be in the highest risk to see some dangerous storms later this afternoon.
THE MOST LIKELY AREA FOR TORNADOES…INCLUDING THE POTENTIAL FOR STRONG TORNADOES…WILL BE FROM EASTERN TEXAS INTO WESTERN LOUISIANA AND SOUTHWESTERN ARKANSAS FROM MIDDAY INTO THE AFTERNOON.
Monitoring The Weather Today
I know of a few Chasers that will be out on the road today, so I’ll be monitoring them and any incoming reports from today’s expected severe storms. Unfortunately, most of the severe weather will continue eastward overnight, and setup over hard hit area’s of the Deep South that just went through a few episodes of severe storms over this past weekend. Georgia, Carolina’s and Northern Florida will have their share tomorrow of strong storms and more rain.
I’ll have further updates are things develop throughout the day…
