Eyeing The Weekend Weather - Looking Nice And Warm
Things have been fairly quiet around these parts the last few days, and this trend looks to continue into the weekend as upper ridging holds in place. Our winds are finally veering to easterly and should become southeasterly by tomorrow. Our temperatures have been a good 10-15F below seasonal normal’s, and I’m ready for the return of the hot and humid Florida weather. This weekend should be really nice, and some plans I have on the table for this weekend look to work well with this weekends forecast and expected warm and clear weather. More on those plans after the weekend.
Searching The Models For Some Extended Storm Action
The next possible chance of any decent thunderstorm action here is beginning to look like maybe mid next week. Several of the forecast global computer models, continue to hint at developing a 500mb low pressure system over the western Bahamas / Cuba and develop a surface reflection low and track it across south Florida Tuesday / Wednesday. This is all way up in the air, and the forecast is just under a week out, but the models have been trending this way for several runs. If it pans out, it could make for some interesting weather, plus to continue our unusual elevated early spring rain for this time of year. Trust me we need it and it’s been nice to have these weekend rain events for the last month or so.
Putz Around The House Day
As for today, Kersten is off from work, so we plan to work around the house getting caught up on some projects, and later I plan to continue working on a new site that’s upcoming later this spring. Really not much going on for a Thursday. So, enjoy the rest of your week, and I’m off for some morning coffee and my blog rounds….

Man Jeff this weather is killing me. I need a good ol fashion thunderstorm. I can’t wait for the heat to kick it up.
Jess - Actually, there are thunderstorms in the forecast, mostly though for interior locations of the state, and south of Orlando. Looking like some possible early sea breeze storm action. Hang in there, before you know it the Florida thunderstorm season will be in full swing.
Jess - come and try the german weather for some time. You’ll never be bored in Florida again. My promise. One severe thunderstorm per year is already considered great luck for a stormwatch here.
WOW! Yeah I would have a hard time living with German weather. LOL Thanks Alexander.
Your right Alexander, you have humble me! To far for me and my backyard chasing. Good luck to you Jeff hope to see some awesome pics!!
