Robert Brookens of The Barometer Bob Show, Interviews Bill Read, Director of the National Hurricane Center

The National Hurricane Conference After Show

Thursday evening I attended the live broadcasting of the Barometer Bob Show after the National Hurricane Conference 2008. The conference this year was held in Orlando, and The Barometer Bob Show had it’s live broadcast from Hooters Pointe Orlando, just down the street from the Hotel where the conference was held. I was also a guest on the show, but spent much of my time shooting video of the event. Robert Brookens, the host of the show, first had his special guest Bill Read, the new director of the National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida. Bill gave a nice interview, as he and Barometer Bob discussed past events, hurricane safety and preparations, and the upcoming 2008 hurricane season.

Erin with Hooters Opens The ShowA Great Show Of Interviews - Video Coming Soon

There were several other guests, including myself who closed out the lineup, and I hope to have these videos up soon, but wanted to wait for The Barometer Bob website to get their podcast of the show up first. I don’t want to step on any toes if you know what I mean. It was a great evening of hurricane and weather discussions. I got to meet a lot of new folks, and some really nice weather enthusiasts from around Florida and the Gulf coast states. Hooters was very nice and took care of us with endless wings and iced tea. Erin, our waitress of the evening was very nice, helpful and was great introducing the show for Barometer Bob.

Myself being interview by the showCongratulations For Hard Work Done - The Barometer Bob Show

I wanted to give a special thanks to Robert Brookens of the show for inviting me to be on such a big event, and allowing me to film the entire show. Also, a congratulations to Barometer Bob for receiving his award, presented by Max Mayfield at the National Hurricane Conference for all his hard work in hurricane safety and education. Great Job!
